Dynamos extended their lead to six points, on the top of group one of the Chibuku Super Cup, after a 1-0 win over Herentals at the National Sports Stadium on Thursday.
The Glamour Boys’ solitary goal was scored by Cameroonian substitute Albert Eonde in the 71st minute, off a Tinashe Makanda assist. Eonde had come in for David Temwanjera nine minutes earlier.
Coach Tonderai Ndiraya made three changes from the team that played Harare City before the lockdown induced break. King Nadolo, David Temwanjera and Ali Maliselo started in place of Barnabus Mushunje, Newman Sianchali and Emmanuel Jalai. Mushunje sat on the bench, Sianchali was not in the team while Emmanuel Jalai was suspended after accumulating three yellow cards in the tournament.
Coach Tonderai Ndiraya, Nadolo, Godknows Murwira and Shadreck Nyahwa were temporarily released from national team camp to take part in the match. The four are part of the Warriors squad preparing for the COSAFA Cup next month.
Dynamos now have 14 points from six games, six points ahead of second placed Yadah who they face on Sunday, in their next match.
